Warranty: how does our warranty work and what is included?

Hi guys! In this week’s blog post we are going to clarify some questions that you might have about our warranty policy. Our warranty was created with the aim to assure you that if any manufacturing problem happens you are covered. All of our e-scooters and e-bikes have a warranty, depending on the part, for up to one year.

What does our warranty covers?

Our warranty covers: 1. Motor (failure under normal operation) – 12 months; 2. Accelerator (can not be used under normal operation (except crash/other external damage)) – 6 months; 3. Controller (failure under normal operation) – 6 months; 4. Battery (can not charge/discharge or mileage is too short base on normal usage) – 12 months; 5. Bodywork structure (under normal usage deformation, fracture, etc. Unable to be used) – 12 months.

When does a warranty period start?

Our warranty starts as soon as you purchase an e-bike or e-scooter. When you purchase in-store or online, we will give you a warranty book with your details and the product details on it. The warranty book should be kept in a safe place in case of need in the future. If possible leave your receipt inside the warranty book sometimes we do need to verify details.

What is not covered?

Wear and tear parts such as:

  • Tyres
  • Inner tubes
  • Break discs
  • Brake pads
  • Cables
  • Handlebars

What will void the warranty?

Aspects that can void your warranty:

  • Damage caused by vehicle modification using non-original accessories to modify the scooter
  • Damage caused by violence and improper use or violent destruction
  • Damages caused by traffic accidents
  • Damage caused by natural or man-made water ingress, soaking
  • The product sold does not match the time of the product warranty contract
  • Damages after the warranty expiry date
  • Note: that we are the ones that have the last decision.

How long will it take to get a resolution to a warranty claim?

It depends on what happens with the e-scooter or e-bike. First, we will have a mechanic analyse your e-scooter or e-bike; then we will inform you what’s going on and if it is covered by the warranty; and after that, we will repair it, if we do not have the parts at the moment we will need to order it in. This process can be simple as 2 to 3 days or take up to 3 months.
